China Airlines (Taiwan ROC) Boeing 747-409 (B-163) for FS2002
- circa 1991
- currently re-registered as B-18273

----------------------------------------------

Note: (January 31, 2003)

This repaint portrays China Airlines' homely old paint scheme, minus the beautiful pink
lotus and other nice details that are on the current scheme. The tail bears the Nationalist
flag, identifying China Airlines as the flag carrier of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

I originally wanted to paint the current scheme of China Airlines, but with high-quality
sample art hard to come by, I had to settle for this older scheme instead. Even here I had
to use low-quality images for the Chinese script at the front of the fuselage instead of
high-quality sample art or font. But despite this issue, plus China Airlines' atrocious
safety record, I nevertheless wanted to put out a China Airlines repaint - and here it is.
I hope you will find it enjoyable for flying into airports like Haneda and Kai Tak.

----------------------------------------------

Special Feature:

This is a lovely gMax model. There will be such visual effects as bending wings, shiny
fuselage, and even sparks on tail strikes. There is also a script enabling wing
condensations. Of course nose gears will turn. At night, the tail will light up when any
light is on, but for cabin lights, it will be necessary to turn on at least one set of
landing lights.

Installation:

Unzip the contents into your FS2002/aircraft folder. Make sure that "Use Folder Names" in
your unzipping program (such as WinZip) is selected.

I also highly suggest downloading the manual, from SurClaro.com libraries or Project OpenSky's
own website, to understand the proper procedures and for the full effects package.

Project Listing:

For the latest project listing, go to SurClaro or SurClaro.com and search for my name.
As for future projects - I will crank them out at a much slower pace, and I won't make any
commitments. Flying for two virtual airlines AND doing repaints took too much of a toll on
my health lately - hence this decision.
